Why did Satoshi release the bitcoin white paper on Halloween? Because it was the first ever hard digital asset that was ever invented/discovered disguised as nerd magic Internet money

Not your keys, not your coins. Self-custody is the entire point. Bitcoin’s scarcity is enforced by proof of work. Your ownership is enforced by the private keys you control. Leave it on an exchange and you hold an IOU. They can freeze it, lose it, or go bankrupt with it. You become a creditor. Hold the keys yourself and no one can stop you, seize it, or dilute it. No permission required. No counterparty risk. You are your own bank. Recent wallet issues are a reminder to level up your setup (multisig, geographically separated keys, solid backups), not to hand control back to custodians or ETFs. Sovereignty is a practice. Like the gym. Like stacking. Like thinking long-term. 🔸 Stack sats. 🔸 Hold your own keys. 🔸 Build the habit of self-custody. 🔸 ₿

BTC is testing the ~$80k level (recent lows near $79.3k) as risk-off hits ahead of the Fed decision Wednesday. Markets price ~90% odds of a hold in the 3.75–4.00% range, but a December hike is heavily favored (~80%). Middle East tensions keep Brent crude elevated (~$115), feeding inflation worries and supporting “higher for longer” rates. BTC is trading more like a risk asset than a pure hedge right now sensitive to hawkish Fed guidance, hot oil, and ETF outflows. Watch Wednesday’s tone plus Thursday’s GDP/PCE data. A dovish surprise could spark a bounce; a hawkish one risks more downside toward the $77–78k zone. Not financial advice DYOR.

Heading into the week: elevated inflation, oil still sticky from Middle East tensions, tech/AI volatility, and a Fed that isn’t rushing another hike. Noise everywhere. What matters for a market participant with a Bitcoin thesis: short-term macro swings test discipline, not the protocol. Fixed supply doesn’t care about CPI prints or oil spikes. Stack sats. Build habits. Think in cycles, not sessions. ₿

Hot US inflation (Sept CPI 3.7%) has markets pricing a possible Fed rate hike at the Oct 27-28 meeting. Higher rates make safe Treasury bonds more attractive than Bitcoin (which pays zero yield), so BTC has been stuck around $80-85k and trading like a leveraged risk asset. China’s stronger-than-expected 4.5% GDP print just gave risk assets a bounce, lifting BTC briefly toward $83k. High oil prices from global tensions are keeping inflation sticky. Bottom line: watch the Fed decision—if they pause or ease, liquidity usually helps BTC; if they hike, expect more pressure. Not financial advice—DYOR!
