Just wrapped up a recording with José Fernández da Ponte, President and Chief Growth Officer at the Stellar Development Foundation, and Andy Scott of Marketnode at @StellarOrg Meridian in Lisbon. We covered: - Today's news: SDF's strategic investment in Marketnode, the Temasek backed market infrastructure operator - Why technology, regulation and distribution matter when issuers pick which chain to build on - Asia's massive private wealth market as the fuel for RWA growth, and the access it creates to US markets - Tokenized credit, and how market structure is building out

Bitmine continues to accumulate ETH. The company added another 10,452 ETH over the past week, bringing its total holdings to 6.05 million ETH, worth roughly $14.3 billion. That’s now nearly 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. With 86% of its holdings staked, Bitmine projects $318 million in annualized staking revenue. https://t.co/Hbw4FHzdg4

I’m not terribly surprised by this, nor do I think it’s a major indictment of tokenized equities. For many issuers, this likely came out of the blue. They’re being asked to make a decision about a fundamental shift in how their shares are traded and settled, without much time to understand the implications. It’s a major leap, not unlike the transition from paper stock certificates to electronic shares. Opting out for now isn’t necessarily opposition to tokenization. They just need time.

100% agree. Crypto/cryptocurrencies is a great term(s) for the community. It has a special meaning to many of us and reflects our shared history in this industry. But it’s terrible marketing for the broader potential of the technology. One of the biggest challenges crypto faces is that it’s viewed as a monolith - every project is bucketed into the same use case of being a rival to fiat. Many smart people dismiss it because they don’t see these protocols and companies as viable “currencies,” while many everyday consumers find the term itself intimidating.

The real-world asset (RWA) market is becoming increasingly diversified across blockchains. Ethereum remains the dominant network, accounting for more than 40% of RWA market cap, but its share has fallen nearly 30 percentage points over the past year. Solana, BNB Chain, Stellar and Avalanche are among the networks gaining ground as tokenization expands beyond Ethereum. H/t @cryptounfolded

Per ETFDB, Grayscale's ZCash ETF is the #1 performing non-leveraged ETF of the last 5 years (+37.07%). Ahead of every semiconductor, gold miner, and energy fund on the list. cool https://t.co/7b7k6hzpIf
