I agree with buying what you care about, but we need a reality check on ENS. We .eth supporters are the ones paying with our money, time, and grassroots education to build this ecosystem.
Yet the core team spends zero on marketing .eth. It makes no sense—marketing .eth directly drives the registration revenue needed to fund the overarching mission.
Instead, they take our .eth funds to build tech that empowers outside namespaces. We fund the stack, and they help non-.eth TLDs that just turn around and try to extract fees from the same .eth users who paid for that stack in the first place. They're even pushing us outside of .eth just to get basic privacy.
This needs a constitutional fix: if a project uses the ENS tech stack, they must be required to support .eth. This would create a massive network effect that benefits everyone while actually respecting the community that funds the DAO.
Add in the fact that ENSv2 is massively overdue and the official app is still getting lapped by community-built tools like ENS Vision, Grail, and NameWhisper. We love .eth, but let’s be real—the community is carrying the weight right now
