TRUMP Today caught my attention because the chart is showing a very different structure after that sharp sell-off
TRUMP is trading around $1.28, down roughly 19% today. The move came from the $1.60 area, where sellers took control, down toward $1.22, where buyers finally started defending the market.
After that sell-off, price has stopped making aggressive moves and started moving sideways around the $1.22–$1.30 region. That consolidation is important because it shows the market is trying to establish a new balance after a very fast expansion lower.
Looking at the 4H chart, the bigger structure is still under pressure. The EMA200 remains well above current price, making that area a major structural decision zone rather than just another resistance. Current technical readings also show price below the important moving-average cluster.
In the short term, TRUMP is sitting below the nearby moving averages. The first level I would watch for buyers to regain some momentum is around $1.30. A sustained reclaim of that area would be the first sign that the recovery attempt is becoming more organized.
From there, the bullish path would be relatively clear: first resistance around $1.42, then the $1.55–$1.60 EMA/structural decision zone, followed by the $1.70–$1.72 resistance area, and eventually the previous $1.96 high zone.
But the downside deserves equal attention. The major support buyers defended is around $1.22–$1.24. If that area breaks decisively, the current consolidation would lose its meaning and the market could start opening the door toward the $1.14–$1.10 region instead of building a recovery structure.
So the structure is simple:
Major support: $1.22–$1.24
EMA200 decision zone: above current price, with the broader moving-average structure still acting as overhead resistance
Current consolidation zone: $1.22–$1.30
First major resistance: $1.42
Previous high: around $1.96
What makes this setup interesting is not the small percentage move.
It is the fact that after a violent expansion lower, TRUMP found support and is now attempting to compress around the lows. That creates a cleaner battle between buyers and sellers. Momentum indicators are stretched on several readings, while RSI is no longer showing the kind of extreme weakness seen during the initial sell-off. At the same time, the broader trend remains bearish, so a consolidation by itself should not be treated as a confirmed reversal.
For the recovery to gain structure, I would want to see price reclaim $1.30 first, then hold above $1.42 and eventually challenge the $1.55–$1.60 decision zone with strength. That would start turning the current bounce into a more meaningful sequence of higher levels.
On the other side, a decisive break below $1.22 would force a reassessment of the recovery attempt. That would tell us buyers were unable to turn the post-sell-off consolidation into a base, leaving the downside structure in control.
For now, I wouldn’t focus on the small percentage move.
I’d watch the range breakout.
After a move as aggressive as the one TRUMP just experienced, the next meaningful expansion could come from whichever side finally wins this consolidation battle📈$TRUMP
