The Mercado Bitcoin hacker just turned a grab bag of stolen coins into Ether. Arkham tracked about $10.55 million in stolen altcoins swapped into 4,605 ETH through 338 swaps via MetaMask's router. The haul came from the November 2 breach of the Brazilian exchange, first estimated at around $46 million across more than 10 blockchains. One attempt to bridge about $650,000 of the loot into Bitcoin appears to have stalled. Bitcoin trades near $80,200 while the clean-up continues — and the hacker's move says plenty about which asset is easiest to disappear into.
