📺 A Post-Election Market Rally? Here's What Needs To Happen Please ❤️like and 🔁share with fellow growth stock investors @dvandenbord notes that the market remains in a mild correction, with the S&P 500 still relatively close to all-time highs. But beneath the surface, the damage has been much more severe. AI stocks, growth stocks, and former market leaders have been crushed, while our Revere AI 100 Index hit new all-time lows on Monday. Despite a strong bounce in AI names, market leaders remain in protect mode, and both short-term and medium-term trends continue flashing warning signals. So, could the election results trigger a meaningful market rally? Possibly. But rather than trying to predict how much is already priced in, we're focused on what the market itself tells us. Here's what needs to happen. * First, $QQQ has already experienced a 10% correction and bounced off its 200-day moving average. That's now our line in the sand. If the Nasdaq can hold that support and build on its rebound, it could signal that the worst of the growth-stock correction is behind us. * Second, the S&P 500 $SPX / $SPY needs to defend its recent lows and its rising 150-day moving average. The index is currently trading between its 100-day and 150-day moving averages, and its longer-term trend remains intact. For those familiar with Weinstein's Stage Analysis, the 150-day is particularly important. A break below it, especially if the moving average begins flattening, would be a serious warning. We'd become more defensive below that level rather than waiting for a breakdown below the 200-day, which could ultimately push us entirely into cash. * Third, watch for a rotation BACK into growth stocks. The equal-weight S&P 500 $RSP continues outperforming and remains above all its major moving averages. But relative performance tends to move in cycles. After several weeks of equal-weight strength, we could see leadership shift back toward mega-cap technology and growth. The key signal will be $RSP's relative strength line beginning to weaken against the market-cap-weighted S&P 500. That would suggest money is rotating back into the biggest growth names. We'd also want to see the Nasdaq 100 begin outperforming the Dow $DIA, confirming that growth stocks are regaining leadership. * Elsewhere, mid-cap $MDY stocks remain trapped between their declining 100-day and 200-day moving averages. Small caps $IWM have outperformed over the past two weeks as interest rates declined, although the Russell 2000's latest weak close near 2,800 suggests caution. * Finally, keep an eye on Treasury yields. Both the 10-year and 30-year yields have been consolidating, with a directional breakout potentially influencing the next move in stocks. Falling yields could provide another tailwind for growth and small caps, while rising yields could create renewed pressure. * So, the election reaction and earnings season could provide the catalysts for a post-election rally, particularly in beaten-down AI and growth stocks. But we're not calling a bottom just yet. We need $QQQ to hold its 200-day, the S&P 500 to defend its 150-day, and relative strength to rotate back toward growth. We don't predict the market. We obey price. * Watch this Short video where @dvandenbord breaks it all down in detail 🔽
