Browsers normally cap a tab at 4GB of memory, way below what a real model needs. The team forked the inference runtime to 64 bit addressing and raised the ceiling to 16GB. That's why a model of real size runs in a tab at all. It also loads models from the 900,000+ open source options on Hugging Face, free with no usage limit, because it runs on hardware you already own. The edge for people here is simple. Next time someone asks what subnets actually produce, you send one link and they run a model themselves in about a minute.
