Startale Card went live yesterday on 300,000 reservations, and the launch line reads that your onchain @soneium assets are ready for everyday spending. The press release is narrower. You move USDSC to the card and you spend USDSC. Worth knowing which of those two sentences is the product. Here is what shipped. A virtual card issued by Rain, a Visa principal member, reaching more than 150 million merchant locations. Cashback paid in USDSC straight to the account. KYC inside the @StartaleGroup app, then activation, early contributors in first and waitlist invites admitted in rank order through November. Reservations opened in July, so four months from waitlist to live issuance. The quiet detail is in the terms. The card is held separate from App services like Earn, swaps and USDSC balances, and the issuer is not a party to those. So the superapp framing and the legal structure are pointing in slightly different directions, normal for card programs, and still worth reading before assuming one balance flows into the other. No physical card is mentioned anywhere. My take is that the narrowing is the best part. A card that only spends a stablecoin is not a smaller card. It is the version that still works when the market opens red.
