Crypto has a food chain. And the higher you climb, the quieter it gets. At the bottom, millions of people are trying to catch the next move. Charts. Leverage. Long or short? Will BTC pump tomorrow? Nothing wrong with trading. But think about this: there are vastly more traders than major exchanges. One DEX can serve an enormous crowd. Every trade generates fees, and those fees become revenue for someone else in the system. Now look one level up. Liquidity providers make those trades possible. They put capital into pools, take risks, and earn fees and incentives. Fewer people want to understand liquidity than want to predict the next candle. Climb again. You find holders of veCRV, sAERO, vlCVX and other governance assets. Depending on the protocol, their votes can help direct incentives toward specific liquidity pools. They're not just asking, “Will this token go up?” They're asking, “Where will liquidity go? Who needs it? Who benefits when it arrives?” Higher still: developers, treasury managers, DAO contributors. People designing the rules, managing capital, and keeping entire financial systems running. And then the founders. Think about it. How many people trade on a major DEX? And how many people actually built it? Now look at the content economy. You see a similar pyramid. A video about turning $100 into $10,000 with leverage can attract a massive audience. A deep dive into gauge voting, liquidity incentives, or DAO treasury strategies? Usually a much smaller crowd. Not because it's less important. Because more people want to drive the car than understand how the engine works. And that's what fascinates me. The loudest part of crypto isn't necessarily where the most interesting businesses are built. I'm increasingly interested in who builds the markets, who supplies their liquidity, who influences their incentives, and where the money actually flows. Of course, these aren't rigid social classes. Roles overlap. Founders can fail. Traders can build fortunes. Every layer has its risks. But the deeper I dig, the more crypto stops looking like a collection of charts and starts looking like an entire economy. Trading is the visible surface. Underneath it lies a world of capital, infrastructure, governance, and financial engineering. The internet of money is being built right in front of us. And I want to explore that machinery, take it apart, and explain it in the simplest words possible.
