🚨 Will cryptocurrency taxation be deferred again..? Finally, action is underway!! Breaking news: Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Min-seok has officially proposed to the government that taxation on virtual asset income be deferred. Currently, cryptocurrency taxation is scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027, with a 2.5 million KRW annual deduction, followed by a 22% tax on income exceeding that threshold. Personally, I believe we should first properly establish the regulatory framework before pushing forward with taxation. Can authorities truly track and tax transactions on overseas exchanges, personal wallets, and DeFi protocols? Of course, deferral is not yet confirmed—government review and legislative amendments are still required. If this is going to be the case, why not just abolish it outright?
