🔥 Circle Expands CCTP Beyond USDC Circle has expanded its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol (CCTP) to support issuer-controlled ERC-20 tokens, including through its Arc blockchain. The update allows eligible token issuers to enable cross-chain transfers using a burn-and-mint model - without relying on traditional bridges or wrapped versions of their assets. Developers can integrate new tokens through Circle’s CrossChainTokenService or register existing ERC-20 tokens without replacing their original contracts. The move could be significant for payments, tokenized real-world assets (RWAs), collateral and treasury operations across multiple blockchains. ⚠️ Not every ERC-20 is automatically supported - issuers must configure and authorize their tokens for cross-chain transfers. #Circle
