I ran the same coding task twice on a real 60-file repo: once plain, once with my cheapskate skill installed. Cost went from $0.43 to $0.37 (-13%). Same prompt both times: add a scanner check, plant an example, extend the test, make npm test pass. Both runs finished. What changed: - Context processed: 789K to 702K tokens (-11%) - Output: 10K to 7K tokens (-26%) - Turns: 17 to 15 - Time: 1.9 to 1.7 min Install in Claude Code: /plugin marketplace add codegobrrrr9/cheapskate /plugin install cheapskate@cheapskate What it doesn't prove: one run each, Sonnet 5, on a small task where the agent was already tidy. The big savings come on long sessions full of whole-file reads and re-reads, and this run had neither. https://t.co/NNM5DcFoQ5
