We've been keeping an eye on @metricxyz since before its dApp went live. Now feels like a good time to dig into what it's actually building. 🧵 One thing that stood out to me is how Metric handles pricing and liquidity. Instead of treating them as one system, it separates the two. Here's the basic idea: Price Providers determine the bid, ask, and reference prices. They can use oracle feeds, onchain information, or their own custom logic. Active Pools then position liquidity within percentage ranges around that reference price. And when the reference price moves, those ranges can move with it. Let's make it practical: Say ETH is trading at $2,500. A pool configured to follow an ETH oracle uses that as its reference. If ETH moves to $2,520 and the oracle updates, the pool can adjust its liquidity ranges around the new price. Pretty straightforward once you break it down. One important detail, though: different pools can use different price sources. It all depends on their configuration. I find this separation interesting because it gives pricing and liquidity management distinct roles within the protocol. Join here: https://t.co/s8bW6fhutm
