A token doesn't necessarily need to create an economy. It could start by recognizing one that already exists. That's what makes the zToken model from @zerufinance worth watching. Through ActivityFi, existing onchain participation becomes the foundation for early access. The first market is zETH, built around Ethereum activity. Here's what makes the structure different: Fairer participation: Wash trades don't count toward a seat. Community involvement: Users help choose the token's name and artwork. Auction design: One clearing process means participants in the same block pay the same price. Liquidity mechanics: The documentation describes locked liquidity and buybacks funded through trading fees. The seasonal model is interesting too. Future zTokens can represent different existing ecosystems instead of trying to manufacture demand around another random ticker. One thing to keep in mind: zETH registration is open, but the race, seat window, and auction haven't started yet. Personally, I'm more interested in how the mechanism performs than how good the launch narrative sounds. Can verified onchain activity become a meaningful foundation for token distribution? That's what I'll be watching.
