🦦US Treasury has announced a liquidity-support buyback of up to $6 billion in 10- to 20-year nominal Treasuries, set for tomorrow (November 4). The operation runs from 1:40–2:00 p.m. ET and targets older, off-the-run securities. It is part of a recently expanded program in which individual buyback caps for longer-dated debt have moved from earlier $2 billion levels to the current $4–6 billion range. A similar $6 billion operation in the 20- to 30-year sector settled last week at the full maximum. These buybacks are designed to support market liquidity and orderly functioning in the long end of the curve amid heavy ongoing issuance. Bitcoin Magazine flagged the announcement with a “Buy Bitcoin” note, treating the continued use of the tool as a signal worth watching in the broader debt and monetary picture.
