XAU dropped all of yesterday’s gains today. Around 9 p.m. last night, it surged from under 3900 all the way to 3945, then climbed further to 3958.71. I was watching the 15-minute chart, thinking: This time, if it holds above 3950, it’s really going up. What happened? It did hold for several hours, trading sideways between 3930 and 3945 all morning. Then, starting at noon, it began slowly grinding lower. By 4 p.m., it touched 3892, and now, as evening approaches 7 p.m., it’s at 3899.53. Every single point gained yesterday has been given back—back to square one. From the peak, it’s only down 1.5%, not much. But from the moment I got excited about the rally to watching it all vanish today, my entire day felt wasted. The worst part?
