Claude's developers keep deciding for users what they are allowed to do. This week it is debugging and reverse engineering games. Developers could not debug their own games in Claude Code, and Anthropic said it will fix the false refusals. So the workflow now: before you reverse engineer a game, convince Claude you made it. Reverse engineering is how mods, ports, security audits and compatibility layers get made. It needs no permission from a model vendor. A model you run yourself does not ask. That is the case for open weights, and why NEAR AI serves them.
