Phantom brings prediction markets to U.S. users, changing the value of the wallet entry point. Users expressing opinions and completing trades are now appearing on the same page. ① Phantom is gradually rolling out prediction markets powered by Kalshi to eligible U.S. users, covering short-term price movements of select crypto assets, sports, and real-world events—with direct access integrated into the existing app. ② For the product, this extends users’ focus from “what assets do I hold?” to “what outcomes do I believe in?” Existing balances and usage habits reduce the friction of trying new trading scenarios. ③ However, it’s essential to understand the business boundaries: account approval, due diligence, and trade execution are handled by Kalshi. Adding an entry point does not mean all aspects of these markets become on-chain activities on Solana. ④ “For U.S. users” does not mean unrestricted access—availability varies by market category, and event contracts may result in total loss of investment; short-term markets can amplify the impulse to place frequent bets. My own assessment: This demonstrates the value of distribution entry points—and has made me more attentive to whether the product helps users understand settlement rules. There remains a significant gap between predicting a single event and building sustainable trading advantages. NFA / DYOR @Solana_zh @solana @phantom @Kalshi
