Consensys wants banks to trade across separate blockchains without bridges @Consensys unveiled Sovereign Network Interoperability today at Devcon in Mumbai, a product that lets banks, custodians, and fund managers settle deals with partners on other ledgers. Assets never leave their home ledgers, and each step is checked with cryptographic proofs rather than a trusted middleman. It works with Ethereum-compatible networks today, and Consensys plans to add @CantonNetwork ($CC) next. The company named four uses: posting collateral, settling tokenized securities against payment, swapping currencies between banks, and moving idle cash in and out of tokenized money market funds.
