Crypto. com will shut down its consumer-facing app in Hong Kong on February 1, 2027, as part of a global operational restructuring aimed at streamlining its business and reallocating resources toward markets offering more sustainable long-term growth opportunities. A company spokesperson told Bloomberg that all affected customers have already been notified. The company will provide users with detailed instructions for closing their accounts and assistance to ensure they can withdraw their funds in an orderly manner before the shutdown. The move represents a withdrawal from Hong Kong’s retail crypto market but does not signal a complete exit from the territory. Crypto. com continues to pursue regulatory approval through its subsidiary, Foris DAX HK Limited, which has an application pending with Hong Kong’s Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) for a virtual asset trading platform license. $BTC.X $ETH.X $SOL.X
