Hyperliquid is preparing for another major USDC reserve payout in November 2026, potentially exceeding $15 million. On November 2, a small test transfer of approximately 2.52 USDC reached the protocol's Assistance Fund, following a similar pattern before October's payout of $14.58 million.

Under its AQAv2 framework, Hyperliquid directs approximately 90% of eligible USDC reserve yield to the Assistance Fund, which uses the funds to purchase HYPE tokens on the open market. The upcoming payout could support the repurchase of around 180,000 HYPE tokens, depending on the final payment amount and market price.

This mechanism creates an additional source of buyback funding beyond trading fees, linking HYPE's token economics to the growth of USDC reserves within the Hyperliquid ecosystem. While recurring buybacks may reduce circulating supply over time, their impact on HYPE's market price is not guaranteed and depends on broader market conditions, demand, and actual execution.
