🗞️ Starknet (STRK) has explained that its account abstraction architecture could facilitate the transition to quantum-resistant cryptography. Unlike Bitcoin and Ethereum, Starknet’s accounts are composed of programmable smart contracts, enabling users to replace vulnerable signature systems with newer ones without changing their account addresses or balances. Starknet noted that developers have already tested Falcon-512-based accounts using the Cairo programming language. However, the network’s current dependency on Ethereum leaves its consensus, data availability, and bridge infrastructure vulnerable to quantum-related risks. The project argues that an independent Layer 1 network could eliminate these dependencies and directly integrate post-quantum security measures into its infrastructure. Such a system aims to encompass not only quantum-resistant accounts, but also verifiers and the underlying network infrastructure. #Starknet $STRK #Quantum #Crypto
