In my view, the best opportunity isn’t when prices are surging, but when the market corrects into a region worth watching. The 3-day or 1-week Bollinger Bands are a tool I find particularly useful. When price touches the lower band, I start monitoring more closely—rather than rushing to buy just because the price has dropped sharply. However, touching the lower band doesn’t guarantee a rebound. In a strong downtrend, price can easily remain below the band or break previous lows. That’s why it’s crucial to identify key price zones, allocate capital wisely, and always keep cash reserves on hand. You don’t need to catch the exact bottom—just have a clear plan and avoid letting one bad decision cost you your control. Investing is a game of probability and risk management, not a contest to see who can predict the bottom perfectly.
