A lot of people pay attention to a token when it first launches, but what happens when the excitement dies down? That's an interesting part of what @RebateLaunch is trying to address with its design. For starters, its tokens have a fixed supply of 1 billion, with no additional minting. The bonus and holder payout rules are also set in the smart contract from launch. There's also a tax that drops from 99% to zero within the first three seconds. According to the platform's model, the collected fees go into a locked treasury used to fund buyer bonuses. Another detail is the holding multiplier. Your share of holder payouts gets more weight the longer you hold, moving from 1x to 2x over seven days. However, those payouts still depend on actual trading activity. If volume drops, rewards can drop too. I find the approach interesting, but there's something no smart contract can guarantee: people staying interested in a project. Good token rules can help, but a strong community and continued activity matter just as much. What would make you hold a token beyond its first week?
