EIP-7702 allows a standard Ethereum address to sign an authorization temporarily granting a smart contract the authority to execute transactions on its behalf—enabling batch transactions and gas sponsorship. The risk lies in the authorization itself: signing it means surrendering control of your address to that contract. Hypernative claims the attack code in the Binance incident executed via EIP-7702, though it remains unclear how the signature was obtained. Don’t sign if you don’t recognize the target contract. #EIP7702
