The important distinction isn’t simply regulated vs unregulated. It’s how customer assets are held, what protections exist if an exchange fails, and how much of that risk traders can actually verify. This is also why I think onchain market infrastructure deserves more attention. Transparency doesn’t eliminate exchange risk, but it changes what traders have to trust.
