AI agents can search the internet, process information and execute transactions. But interacting with a physical location is a completely different challenge. That’s an interesting use case @vangrid_io is exploring allowing agents to request real world captures through a single API call. An agent specifies the location, USDC bounty and deadline. Payment is hadled through x402 on Arc contrary to nearby contributors that uses their phone to record the requested environment. Privacy is built into the process with faces and license plates filtered on the device before fotage leaves the phone. Data fingerprints are recorded, provenance is anchored onchain and a 3D model is delivered once the submission is approved. What makes this interesting is the connection between autonomous software and human participation. The agent handles the request and payment. A real person handles the physical task. Vangrid is opening an interesting path for AI agents to access services beyond the digital world.
