Over the past few days, I’ve completed some of the remaining verification tasks for Primus and have now accumulated 264 points, ranking me at #69. If you haven’t joined yet, click here: https://t.co/X0cxfEge2e Initially, I just wanted to clear out the tasks I hadn’t finished, but as I dug deeper, I discovered a noteworthy way to engage with Primus right now: earning Score through asset balances in the Confidential Vault. Let me start with the reputation tasks I’m more familiar with. Some of Primus’s Reputation tasks utilize zkTLS. In simple terms, zkTLS helps verify data from Web2 platforms—such as account activity, transaction records, or other qualifying information—and generates verifiable proofs. This is actually quite interesting. Previously, proving you had a certain number of transactions on a platform often meant sharing screenshots or raw data, which could unintentionally expose private information. zkTLS aims to solve this by enabling external verification of data compliance while preserving privacy. From my observations, the point allocation for some verification tasks appears to decrease with each subsequent completion: 10 points for the first verification, 4 for the second, and 1 for the third. It seems earlier completions yield higher rewards. However, rules may vary per task—always refer to the official task page for accurate details. Another area I’ve recently started exploring is Primus’s Confidential Vault on BNB Chain. This feature operates more like an asset management tool. Once inside the Vault, you can use the Shield function to convert USDT into encrypted eUSDT. The goal is to reduce the exposure of your holdings on the public blockchain—a compelling option for users prioritizing asset privacy. The most common point of confusion here is how Score is calculated. The Vault has its own Score system, separate from the XP earned through Reputation tasks. The system updates every 3 days and calculates Score based on your effective Shield Balance at the end of each cycle: 1 Score for every full $50 accumulated. For example: If your effective Shield Balance at cycle end is $500, you earn 10 Score. If it’s $480, only full $50 increments count—so you’d earn 9 Score. This mechanism prioritizes the balance remaining at cycle end. Simply depositing and withdrawing during the cycle may not yield the expected Score. If you’d like to try it out first, prepare some USDT on BNB Chain and ensure your wallet has a small amount of BNB to cover gas fees. Then enter the Vault, locate the Shield function, and convert your USDT to eUSDT. Staking is another option. Eligible eUSDT can be further staked within the Vault to earn esUSDu and participate in subsequent yield strategies. When I checked, the APY was around 11%, but this figure fluctuates based on strategy and market conditions—it should not be treated as guaranteed returns. Here are a few important reminders: 1⃣ Vault deposits may be processed in batches. The interface shows approximately one batch every 8 hours, but actual timing may vary. 2⃣ Once assets are staked, withdrawing them may require additional unstaking or redemption steps—some processes involve a 7-day protocol lock-up period. Always confirm withdrawal procedures beforehand to avoid liquidity issues when you need funds urgently. 3⃣ APY is variable. Smart contracts, underlying yield strategies, and liquidity all carry risks. Assess your risk tolerance before participating. The Vault also includes Send and Unshield functions. Send enables confidential asset transfers; Unshield converts encrypted assets back into standard assets. However, if your assets are already staked, you typically must first complete redemption procedures—you cannot treat Unshield as an instant withdrawal option. My current approach is to complete all possible Reputation tasks first to build verification experience. As for the Confidential Vault, I’ll decide whether to allocate assets based on my personal financial plan. After all, points are worth pursuing—but asset security and liquidity come first. I’m also excited to see how Primus further develops this system. If, in the future, it can prove on-chain reserves, verify off-chain data, and simultaneously protect users’ holdings privacy, Confidential Finance could evolve from a concept into a genuinely adopted financial service. If you’re already participating in Primus, take some time to explore both accumulation methods—and don’t mix up Reputation XP with Vault Score. #Primus @primus_labs
