After Binance was hacked, Bitcoin’s rally to $82K was halted, and now both Wall Street and the crypto market have entered a painful phase. BTC is nearly back to our cost range, and many are now worrying whether Binance might collapse, repeating the same issues as FTX. Just now, I exchanged all my remaining MSTR for MSTU. I had kept half on hand, waiting for a better opportunity. This month has been fraught with challenges, but every negative event has failed to break BTC’s support. This Binance hack, involving $6.3 billion, is the largest in history, yet even after such a severe negative event, BTC’s pullback was only slightly over 5%. It’s regrettable that yesterday’s smooth rally had me sleeping soundly— again, like last year, problems emerged around the same time. But black swan events are unpredictable; no one could have foreseen this. My plan remains unchanged—I still believe we are in a bull market. The fact that BTC only dropped this much despite the hack at the largest crypto exchange, combined with four consecutive days of ETF net inflows, and BTC not falling further after U.S. markets opened, suggests ETF outflows may be limited. Under such high pressure, don’t panic and sell impulsively—but also don’t blindly load up on high leverage. For now, the only step I’ve taken is swapping MSTR for MSTU. I’m still considering whether to convert my gold and silver holdings into BTC as well—taking it one step at a time. Meanwhile, U.S. equities are also plunging sharply. Stay safe, everyone!
