While normal citizens face daily power blackouts and rising electricity bills, the Pakistani government quietly allocated 2,000 Megawatts of national electricity to mine Bitcoin for the state treasury. At the exact same time, the State Bank maintains that crypto is illegal, and new laws threaten ordinary families with 5 years in prison for trying to buy the exact same asset. Think deeply about this contradiction. Why would a government with a massive energy crisis give precious power to digital mining while banning its own people from using it? Because the state is trapped in a multi-billion dollar debt loop with global lenders like the IMF. They cannot pay these international debts with depreciating rupees, and they are running out of US dollars. They desperately need a hard, global asset to stay solvent. By criminalising the public, they kill local competition and keep electricity costs artificially suppressed for their own operations. This allows a small circle of elites to use public power…paid for by your taxes to mine digital gold directly into a national wallet. They are quite literally using the country's remaining energy grid to bail out the central bank's bad financial decisions, while legally trapping ordinary people inside a melting currency. They do not hate Bitcoin. In fact they secretly love it. They are using it as a sovereign lifeboat while forcing the public to go down with the ship. Stop focusing on their political theater and look at where they are plugging in the power.
