Trust Wallet warns against a fake crypto card. The offer appeared highly credible. A fraudulent website impersonating Trust Wallet advertised a card with a spending limit of up to $100,000, cashback of up to 8%, no KYC requirements, zero fees for currency conversion, support for Apple Pay and Google Pay, and access to airport lounges. A mere $1 fee was claimed for card issuance. The scammers even created three card tiers: Lite, Signature, and Metal. The most expensive version promised 8% cashback, a metal card, unlimited lounge access, and 24/7 concierge service. The site also claimed to hold licenses in four countries. The problem arose when users attempted to take advantage of the offer—they were asked to connect their wallet. Trust Wallet’s security team confirmed that the site has no affiliation with the company and warned users against connecting their wallets or signing any transactions or approvals. Such signatures could allow malicious smart contracts to transfer tokens later without needing the seed phrase. At this time, there are no confirmed reports on the number of victims or the value of stolen funds. #CryptoTeam
