33% APR on stablecoins? That's the kind of number that makes me stop scrolling. Especially when we're talking about DeFi, where ridiculously high yields usually come with a catch. On October 26, @protocol_fx highlighted some interesting opportunities in its fxUSD/USDC market on Morpho: • ~33% APRfor looping fxSAVE • 16% APRfor lending USDC • ~8% APR from fxSAVE's underlying strategy These were advertised rates, not guaranteed returns. What caught my attention wasn't just the numbers. It was how the system works. fxSAVE is built on the f(x) Protocol Stability Pool, with yield coming from sources including ETH staking rewards, lending income, and trading fees. The Morpho integration creates another layer of capital efficiency, allowing users to lend USDC or pursue leveraged fxSAVE strategies. And that's an important distinction. The 33% looping APR isn't the same as earning 33% simply by holding stablecoins. It involves borrowing, leverage, changing rates, and liquidation risk. Still, I like the direction @protocol_fx is taking. Instead of relying entirely on token emissions to attract liquidity, it's building around actual DeFi activity and putting existing capital to work. With stablecoin yields back in the spotlight following the latest U.S. regulatory developments, I think this is exactly the kind of model worth studying. The real test isn't whether fxSAVE can advertise 8% or a looping strategy can reach 33%. It's whether those yields remain competitive when market conditions change. That's what I'll be watching.
