𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗧𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗼 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 One of the hardest problems in Web3 is creating a meaningful relationship between network activity and token economics. BitTorrent's latest strategy is interesting because it explicitly attempts to create that connection. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 The upgraded BitTorrent ecosystem includes: ➤ Decentralized content distribution ➤ BTTInferGrid decentralized AI inference ➤ BTTC Layer 2 and cross-chain infrastructure Each service can potentially contribute to a larger decentralized-service economy. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The announced program directs 100% of decentralized-service revenue toward BTT buybacks. The acquired tokens are then burned. The first implementation removed 21,621,611,510,729.6 BTT. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 This creates an economic bridge: Product usage → Service revenue → BTT market purchases → Permanent supply reduction The stronger the first stage becomes, the more relevant the later stages can potentially become. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 The first burn has already happened. Now the market can compare future cycles. Was revenue higher? Was the buyback larger? Was more BTT burned? Did infrastructure usage expand? That is much more informative than evaluating the program from one announcement alone. The first cycle starts the dataset. The next cycles build the evidence. @BitTorrent @justinsuntron #TRONEcoStar #BTTInferGrid https://t.co/OYwd0PdQfB
