Why Do the Same Meme Coins Keep Appearing at the Top of Sui? 👀 Did you know @coingecko has a dedicated Top Sui Meme Coins by Market Cap category? I was looking through the rankings and noticed something interesting. While new meme coins continue to launch on @SuiNetwork, many familiar names are still near the top. Some of the largest projects included: → lofi-2:native: ~$9.3M → $BLUB: ~$2.0M → solana:6Tw9kzL3B4AFDyJNg7NULHpUozDrgdukU4UcVMwjpump: ~$1.27M → $MIU: ~$785K Other names included MANIFEST, AXOL, BRAT, FUD, ONE, and SUICAT. These figures can change quickly, but I find it interesting that several established communities continue to appear in the rankings. So what makes these projects stand out? 🔵 lofi-2:native - @lofitheyeti LOFI stood at the top of the category in the snapshot. Its Yeti mascot has become a recognizable part of Sui's meme ecosystem. The project continues posting regularly, and its community remains visible on X. 🔵 $BLUB - @blubsui BLUB is another familiar name that has maintained a presence near the top of the rankings. BLUB uses a simple animal-themed identity and regularly shares community content on X. 🔵 solana:6Tw9kzL3B4AFDyJNg7NULHpUozDrgdukU4UcVMwjpump - @hippo_cto HIPPO, also known as Sudeng, has attracted attention through its recognizable hippo character. Its trading activity has also stood out relative to its market cap in the snapshot I reviewed. 🔵 $MIU - @miucoin_sui MIU is a cat-themed community token that has explored features such as staking, token locking, and burns. It continues to appear in discussions around Sui meme coins. 🔵 $MANIFEST - @manifestsui MANIFEST is one of the older community projects that continues to appear in the rankings. Its account remains active with community updates and Sui-related content. 🔵 $AXOL - @AxolOnSui AXOL is another long-running Sui meme project. Beyond its amphibian mascot, the project has introduced community tools such as a swap aggregator, meme generator, and games. 🔵 $BRAT - @bratonsui BRAT has built its identity around a hotdog meme. The community regularly discusses token burns and shares updates on X. 🔵 $FUD - @fudthepug FUD is one of Sui's earlier meme projects and originally gained attention through an airdrop. It remains a recognizable name in the ecosystem. 🔵 $ONE - @Just1Sui ONE has an interesting community takeover story. After the original developer stepped away, community members continued supporting the project and organizing activities such as meme contests. 🔵 $SUICAT - @Suicatdotsui SUICAT is another cat-themed meme project with its own community identity. Although it sits further down the rankings, its account continues sharing community content. Several of these projects have appeared in CoinGecko's Sui meme category over time, although their rankings and trading activity have changed. I think this raises an interesting question about what actually keeps a meme community active. Is it the character, the community, trading activity, or simply how long the project has been around? A recognizable brand can attract attention, but it does not guarantee long-term demand. The same applies to market cap. A large market cap does not necessarily mean a token has strong liquidity or lower trading risks. Tbh, I think the most interesting part of Sui's meme ecosystem is not which token has the highest market cap today. It is whether these communities can continue attracting attention and participation over time. I think trading volume, liquidity, and holder activity provide more useful information about the market than rankings alone. Can Sui build a meme ecosystem where communities remain active for years, or will attention keep moving from one new token to the next? NFA. DYOR. Data source: Coingecko
