Starknet’s “privacy empire” is already taking shape. While other projects offer just a single privacy app, @Starknet is building privacy as a shared layer across the entire ecosystem. Check out these privacy-enabled applications: 🔹 Yield: @trovesfi 🔹 LP and swaps: @ekuboprotocol 🔹 New banking: @haven_hn_ 🔹 Options: @supervegaxyz 🔹 Lending: @opusmoney Together, they cover nearly the full DeFi stack—all built on STRK20 shadow accounts. Why does this matter? Past on-chain privacy solutions were mostly “a mixer” or “a privacy chain.” Users had to bridge chains and swap assets just to enter or exit—paths that themselves exposed identity. Worse still, in a transparent on-chain environment, being the only one using privacy tools makes you stand out, effectively marking yourself. Starknet flips this logic: ✅ Deposit, swap, lend, provide LP, trade options—all within the same privacy account ✅ No bridging, no ecosystem switching ✅ The more users and use cases, the larger the shared anonymity set—and the harder it becomes to identify any individual user For privacy, the size of the anonymity set is the moat. A single privacy app can’t grow it alone; only when the entire ecosystem adopts it together can it truly scale. For everyday users, privacy isn’t some “gray-area need”—it’s a real, practical pain point: 🔸 Large wallet addresses get tagged, triggering constant surveillance, copy-trading, and even sniper attacks on every rebalance 🔸 On-chain transactions are publicly queued, making them easy targets for MEV sandwich attacks 🔸 Wallet balances are visible to all, creating security risks in social or offline settings 🔸 Everyone can calculate exactly how much you’ve borrowed, and where your liquidation line sits In Web2, no one publishes their bank statements online. In Web3, that’s the default. Privacy simply brings on-chain finance back to a normal state. On the institutional side: Large capital avoids on-chain activity largely because positions, strategies, and counterparties are fully transparent. Combined, privacy lending, privacy options, and privacy LP create a “dark pool-style DeFi” designed for professional traders and institutions. Still, several open questions remain: ⚠️ Can privacy states truly interoperate across applications? ⚠️ How will compliance be designed? (Selective disclosure, audit interfaces) ⚠️ Is the UX simple enough to attract mainstream users? ⚠️ Will liquidity keep up? Shallow privacy pools still make large trades difficult. If these challenges are addressed, Starknet has the potential to evolve from “just another L2” into the default choice for on-chain privacy finance. ZK narratives have been talked about for years—but what may finally land in users’ hands is this very layer. $STRK #Starknet
