The invoice says COMPLETED. The actual work says otherwise. Imagine paying ₦250,000 for a motion design project. The designer submits a preview link, marks the job complete, and an oracle confirms delivery. But the final editable files are missing. A smart contract could release payment because the delivery condition was triggered. It cannot independently inspect the project link or interpret what the agreement actually required. That’s what interests me about @GenLayer’s Intelligent Contracts. Written in Python, they can access the live web and use language models to evaluate available evidence against agreed conditions. And there’s no single AI judge. Independent validators execute the contract using their own models and compare conclusions. Disagreement triggers another round, while appeals allow further review. They’re not immune to misleading evidence, but they introduce something traditional smart contracts lack: decentralized interpretation. We’ve mastered transferring money without permission. Now we’re tackling whether someone has actually earned it. Here’s my challenge to DeFi builders: The designer says the job is complete. The client says it isn’t. What ONE piece of evidence would you require before releasing ₦250,000? Drop your answer and explain how you’d prevent either party from manipulating it. I’m looking for a standard that protects BOTH sides, not just whoever controls the payment.
