One of the biggest mistakes we could make in the AI agent economy is treating the blockchain an agent uses as more important than knowing who is behind it. An AI agent could handle payments on Ethereum, interact with applications on Solana, and provide services across other blockchains. It can move between these ecosystems without changing the person or business responsible for it. But how do people verify that connection when the agent operates across different networks? A wallet address can show an agent's transactions, but it doesn't automatically tell you who owns it or who should be held accountable if something goes wrong. When identity verification is tied to individual blockchains, checking who stands behind an agent across different networks becomes unnecessarily complicated. Developers shouldn't have to sacrifice flexibility just to make an agent's identity verifiable. Identity verification should follow the agent, not be restricted to the blockchain it uses. This is where Concordium's Agent Registry becomes important. Its verification infrastructure supports over 200+ chains, allowing agents to remain on their existing networks while linking to verified identity information. The Verified by Concordium badge makes that connection visible, including on eligible ERC-8004 agent profiles on 8004scan, making it easier for people exploring these agents to spot the verification status. Of course, verifying an agent's identity doesn't automatically make it safe or trustworthy. The badge establishes an identity linkage, not a guarantee about the agent's behaviour. But when an agent can spend money, make purchases or negotiate deals on your behalf, knowing who stands behind it is an important starting point for accountability. As AI agents become more active across Ethereum, Solana and other networks, we shouldn't have to care which blockchain an agent uses before we can establish who's responsible for it.
