MAJOR CRYPTO REGULATION UPDATE US banking regulators have finalised new stablecoin rules under the GENIUS Act. The rules cover stablecoin reserves, redemptions and oversight, with implementation starting in January 2027. This is another important step towards clearer crypto regulation in the US. Long term, regulatory clarity could help bring more institutional capital into the industry.
