AI agents can now pay people to collect real-world data through @vangrid_io. And getting a request started is surprisingly simple. I checked how Vangrid uses x402, and here's the flow: Agent sends an HTTP request ↓ Gets 402 Payment Required ↓ Pays USDC on Base or Arc ↓ Retries request → Bounty funded ↓ Someone nearby captures the location ↓ Submission reviewed and accepted ↓ Escrow released → 3D reconstruction begins No account or API key needed to post the request. Ngl, the part I like most isn't just the USDC payment. It's that an agent can request work in the real world without having to find someone to do it. Imagine an AI agent needing updated spatial data from a warehouse. It can fund a capture request through an API, and someone on the ground can collect that data using their phone. A request from software can become a real task for someone in the physical world. That's what makes Vangrid's use of x402 so interesting to me.
