CoinDCX is back in the spotlight after addressing reports surrounding $16 million in anomalous USDT transactions linked to a previously compromised wallet address. While it earlier dismissed hacking reports, new details reveal a twist. Blockchain analytics firm Arkham flagged the USDT movements, which on-chain investigator ZachXBT later verified. The address in question was tied to a major July 2025 security incident that resulted in $44 million in losses. Rather than a fresh platform breach, the exchange clarified that the activity stemmed from users repeatedly depositing funds into deprecated wallet infrastructure that should have been retired. CoinDCX confirmed that it credited the affected users' accounts, maintained normal operations without trading or withdrawal limits, and is actively sweeping those balances back into secure primary wallets.
