Reviewed FUTU Securities' cryptocurrency custody and storage methods: 1. Custody Location and Institutions FUTU Securities does not directly hold or custody client cryptocurrencies. Client virtual assets are custodied by virtual asset trading platform (VATP) operators licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong. The primary platform is FUTU’s proprietary Leopard Trading, which obtained its VATP license in 2025, began full operations in March 2026, and is deeply integrated with FUTU Securities to handle order matching, asset custody, and technical support. Early or certain transactions were also processed through other licensed platforms, such as Hash Blockchain Limited. Client assets are held in trust, with client wallets strictly segregated from the company’s own wallets. 2. Storage Methods Utilizes qualified hot and cold storage facilities: hot wallets support daily trading and deposit/withdrawal liquidity; cold storage secures the majority of assets for long-term preservation. Orders are routed to third-party licensed exchanges for execution, where the exchanges act as custodians and store assets in cold and hot storage systems compliant with regulatory requirements; FUTU itself does not hold any cryptocurrency. Fiat funds (HKD/USD) are held in segregated custodial accounts at approved banks, similarly separated from client securities assets.
