We're getting to a point where you can't trust anything or anyone anymore, and honestly, it's a little scary when you actually think about it. Take for example.... You get an email from your boss, you can't trust it, Could be phishing. Or your mum calls you, 👀 it could be someone using an AI-generated voice to scam you. Or you even see a video of a politician making an announcement... could be a deepfake. And what the news media ? Well, that one's been questionable for decades, so let's not even start there. 💀 Now you're working on something and you ask AI a question, and it gives you an answer with so much confidence that you'd almost swear it was there when it happened... But how do you know you're getting the actual truth and not just "the truth" based on whatever it was trained on? Think about how crazy this is. We're approaching a time when you might have to question a message from your own family, verify that your boss actually sent that email, and double-check whether that video you just watched even happened. And the funny thing is, we saw all this coming in some form. Of course we did! That's why so many of us got excited about Web3, blockchain, and decentralization in the first place. So we can have less blind trust, and more verification. But what if we take it even further? What if we're skipping web4, 5 and 6 and heading straight for Web7, which is; Over-decentralization. No, don't ask me what that means. I just made it up. 😂 But the way things are going, someone might pick up this post in five years, write a whitepaper around the idea, raise $20 million, and tell us they've invented the future. I'm joking, but there's a serious point here. The more advanced our technology gets, the harder it might become to tell what's real from what's fake. And we haven't even figured out how to handle what we already have. I think we should slow down.
