Before I entered the crypto space, I was obsessed with gaming—single-player titles like Operation Flashpoint, Civilization, Hearts of Iron, and The Elder Scrolls. I’d sit down after dinner at 6 p.m. and not get up until 2 a.m. In college, I was completely addicted to World of Warcraft. After class, I’d rush back to my dorm, open my computer, and my muscles would automatically click the WoW icon. I’d play with classmates until the dorm lights went out, then wake up at 6 a.m. on weekends to complete quests and hunt rare pets. Exhausted, I’d check the time—only 10 a.m.—and think, “What a joyful morning! Life is so long.” When I first started working, I had no ambition. I got paid just to get by, and my greatest joy was playing games with friends after work. Back then, I’d already achieved the European-American work-life balance—before it even became a trend in China. Now that I’m older, especially since having a child, I’ve lost all interest in games. Even at my old job, I’d sneak in some slack time—but since going full-time into crypto, all I care about is making money. Watching a movie feels like a waste of time and gives me guilt. Money, money, money—my dream is to earn more, and it’s never enough. As a kid, my dream was simple: one cold Coke a day would make me happy. ✅ We’ve finally become the very people we hated when we were young. Fuck growing up.
