I think the main reasons DATA moving to Sui makes sense (and one that isn't discussed enough) are unit economics & incentive alignment. When you're running your own L1, there's an incentive to optimize for transaction volume and onchain activity – that's Economics 101 on how you survive as a chain. But Trace's 300M data receipts didn't necessarily translate into 300M economically valuable transactions. The actual asymmetric business opportunity DATA identified through Trace is getting AI companies to pay for verified & licensed datasets, and not generating more blockspace demand. Moving to Sui essentially allows the team to measure business success through actual data monetization rather than onchain activity. Additionally, moving to Sui might make DATA a more efficient and sustainable business. An efficient business ≠ value for $DATA holders automatically. But it most definitely is a huge perspective.
