Ripple is building one of the strongest regulatory positions in crypto, but XRP holders still need to see that progress translate into token demand.

In January 2026, Ripple secured UK FCA permissions, including an Electronic Money Institution licence and cryptoasset registration. In February, Luxembourg granted Ripple full EU EMI approval. On July 6, Ripple announced full MiCA Crypto Asset Service Provider authorisation, enabling its regulated crypto services across the European Economic Area. These are meaningful infrastructure milestones, not just partnership headlines.

Yet the market tells a different story. XRP trades near $1.29, approximately 65% below its July 2025 all-time high of $3.65. Around 63.1 billion of the 100 billion maximum supply is circulating. Regulatory credibility is improving, but price momentum remains weak.

The bigger issue is value capture. Ripple can expand payments, custody and stablecoin services without every transaction creating meaningful demand for XRP. RLUSD adoption and Ripple’s corporate growth are not automatic bullish catalysts for the token.

This is a watch, not a long. The level that matters is $1.25–$1.26; losing it could expose the psychological $1.00 area. Reclaiming $1.50–$1.62 would be the first sign sentiment is turning.

The next catalyst must be measurable XRP liquidity, sustained on-chain utility and stronger price structure—not another licence announcement.
