Everyone: “Vibe coding is why we’re seeing so many security bugs.” Meanwhile, PHP, Node.js, the Linux kernel, GitLab. Codebases written by humans, some of them decades old, are also exposing serious vulnerabilities. So maybe we need to have an honest conversation. AI didn't invent bad code. Developers have been shipping bugs, taking shortcuts, and accumulating technical debt for decades. The difference is that AI is getting better at finding the mess we've been sitting on. NOW..... Imagine how many vulnerabilities are still hiding in systems that manage our money, protect our identities, and power critical infrastructure. We might be blaming AI for exposing a problem that was already there. Maybe the code was never as good as we thought. We just didn't have the tools to see it all. 🫠
