NVIDIA is committing $1.1B upfront to help KYEC expand chip-testing capacity in the US. The interesting part is how that money gets earned back. KYEC's October 13 disclosure says the customer advance will be offset against future testing-service fees. NVIDIA is reserving capacity before production ramps, currently targeted for April 2027. For KYEC, that's valuable funding support. But the company still needs to build the facilities, deliver the services and earn attractive margins after depreciation. My investment test: can the new capacity generate strong returns while fulfilling those prepaid obligations? The advance improves funding visibility. The eventual margins will determine how much economic value KYEC shareholders capture.
