The hardest part of building infrastructure nobody’s asking for yet isn’t the technology. It’s the years. Building something the market won’t need until later means being wrong in public for a long time before you’re right once. I don’t romanticize it. Most days it’s unglamorous work on a problem few people see. But the four things that make biology tradeable, provenance, consent, quality, liability, don’t build themselves, and nobody else was doing it. So we did. Quietly. For nine years.
