The countless perp DEXs popping up are just another example of how things work in the crypto space. Once a particular product starts printing money, you’ll see copycats spring up everywhere. They will all claim to be building something better but the bitter truth is that many of them are simply looking for ways to extract liquidity from the community. We’ve seen this play out across NFTs, L2s, DEXs, InfoFi and other sectors. The pattern is almost always the same. Many projects eventually shut down, some will claim they were hacked, while others will keep their communities waiting forever without ever launching a TGE. As a community member, you need to know when to stay away and when to lock in. Not every trending narrative deserves your time and not every new project deserves your liquidity. Be strategic, do your research and protect your liquidity at all costs.
