🚨Charles Hoskinson Is Building a New Programming Language for Cardano


I see this as a potentially important move for Cardano’s developer ecosystem. Charles Hoskinson says he is personally developing a new programming language alongside Input Output Global engineer Lucas Rosa.


The goal is to combine transaction intents, proof-carrying data, and Groth16 cryptographic proofs. If successful, this approach could help developers build applications that execute complex conditions while verifying results efficiently.


Hoskinson stated on X: “I’m actually personally developing a programming language for Cardano.”


What makes this interesting to me is the focus on simplifying transactions while strengthening verification. However, the project remains in its early stages, with no public name, technical specifications, or release date announced.


My take: The real test will be whether developers adopt it and whether it delivers practical advantages over existing Cardano tools. Until more details emerge, its impact remains uncertain.
